double-exposure

Ginny's branding shoot | Lancaster

I was thrilled to get the call from Ginny about a branding shoot, she is a fellow photographer who I greatly admire, plus I have photographed Ginny’s family before so knew it was going to be fun! Ginny is a really good communicator, in person and online so I wanted to reflect her vibrant personality in the photos and also her strong business side, Ginny found some great locations around Lancaster for the shoot which fitted the bill perfectly. Ginny pushes herself creatively in photography and is open to experimentation so we had some great fun with double exposures. For one of the rolls I exposed it first with lights then reused the roll on the shoot, (idea from Wendy Laurel’s Seeing Double). What do you think about the results? I think they worked well here to show the arty and fun side to Ginny’s personality. I was pleased yet again with how film coped with the December light and also the artificial light in the cafe, it looks like I was using extra lights but I wasn’t! Ginny also kept smiling despite a cold December day, what a trooper! We finally put an end to the shoot when the rain started, it’s a good job it did or goodness knows when the shoot would have ended as we were having so much fun! Check out Ginny’s fabulous work here. If you would like your own branding shoot please contact me here. To see more of my branding work it’s here. Some favourites from the day…
