What a special morning I had in the lovely autumn light photographing this creative family. I could literally have photographed them for an entire week, they were just so great to work with, relaxed and happy to be in font of the camera; although Torrey and Gino may disagree with this statement as they told me they hate having their photo taken! This is often the case with parents but when I have been there a little while it becomes much easier and I would say people generally enjoy themselves more than they thought they would! Torrey is an artist and also runs the Hallbankgate Hub cafe, (see here), her cooking and baking is excellent and really stands out, a must visit! You can also see Torrey’s wonderful work here, I think some of Lucio’s beautiful work may be on there too.
Deciding to have your family photos taken in your home is a great idea, I think it makes for such a strong set of images as you are surrounded by your own meaningful stuff and memories. This will provide you with photos to look back on that tell a short story of your life at this time, everything changes so fast it’s good to hold on to a moment every now and then.
